Getting Hosed In 2015 As a Consumer In Distress

I have subscribed to a prominent streaming video service until it stopped working the other day. I also bought a can of shaving cream manufactured by a major company. The video service informed me that they no longer supported my Smart TV but they raised my subscription. The shaving cream can malfunctioned and spewed cream all over the place. I consider myself helpless because formal complaints in this day and age bring only trouble.
